Snow Report: Spring Vibes on the Slopes

It is a beautiful spring day up in the Cascades! If you are heading to the mountains this weekend, you can expect plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures.

Current Conditions

We are seeing classic spring conditions across our local peaks. There has been no new snowfall in the last 24 hours, but with highs reaching the 60s today and Sunday, it is a great time for some spring turns at Mt. Bachelor. Just be sure to pack the sunscreen!

Mountain Passes

Travel remains smooth for all our major mountain passes, including Santiam and Willamette. Roads are clear and dry with no winter travel restrictions currently in place. Expect light winds today, though we may see some afternoon gusts up to 20 mph near the crest.

Looking Ahead

While the weekend is dry, the pattern shifts mid-week. According to the National Weather Service, we are tracking a system arriving Tuesday night into Wednesday. This will likely bring:

  • Rain and high mountain snow
  • Light snow accumulations at higher elevations
  • Temperatures dropping back into the 40s

Enjoy the warm spring sun while it lasts! We will keep you updated as that mid-week system gets closer.
