Update: Wildfire Reported in Jefferson County Along US 97 grows to 28 acres

MADRAS, Ore. (KTVZ) — A wildfire first reported at 3:50 PM in northern Jefferson County has been contained at 28 acres, according to WATCH DUTY.

The wildfire grew from 4 acres to 28 acres before being fully contained in just about 3 hours. No evacuation orders were issued.

The fire, known as the 0127 fire, was located just off Highway 97 near NE Quaale Road. It was miles away from the RV Trout Creek fire and the historic Cram Fire, which destroyed 6 structures.
