Family-friendly concert series launches in Redmond

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) —The Summer Kickin' Concert Series begins this Friday at General Duffy's in Redmond. The series, which focuses on families, will feature Jacquie Roar as the headliner for its inaugural event.

General Duffy's Waterhole is putting extra effort into making the annual music series affordable and accessible for families with children in Central Oregon. The event aims to provide high-quality live entertainment to the community and visitors with a diverse lineup of nationally recognized artists across various genres.

Tanner Robertson, co-owner of General Duffy's, detailed the event's schedule and the overall experience for attendees, "We open our doors at four. We have two local acts that perform 5:30PM and 6:30PM, the headliners on at 8:30PM, but it's a full day experience. You can support our local food trucks, grab a beer, find a spot, and get your crew settled in," Robertson said.

To assist parents attending the concerts, Boulden Rogen Early Childhood Academy offers "concert care" for children. The service costs $80 and includes activities like a bounce house. The academy is located within walking distance of General Duffy's.

The summer lineup for the series includes Joe Nichols, Dylan Scott, Colt Ford, Bryan Martin, Lonestar, Niko Moon and George Birge. Past performers at the series have included Southern rock band 38 Special, Scotty McCreery and country music star Trace Adkins.

This season pass includes Jacquie Roar (May 22), Joe Nichols (June 12), Dylan Scott (June 19), Colt Ford (July 2), Bryan Martin (July 25), Lonestar (August 16), Niko Moon (August 29), and George Birge (September 5) performing live on the Boulden Rogen Early Childhood Academy Stage in Redmond, Oregon.
