Oregon Lightning fall 54–33 to Arsenal in high scoring matchup

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) — The Oregon Lightning fell 54–33 to the Michigan Arsenal at the First Interstate Bank Center in Redmond. Quarterback Dalton Cole accounted for four touchdowns for the Lightning in the high-scoring non-conference matchup.
The game saw both teams trading touchdowns and deuces early, with Michigan pulling ahead to a 23–nine lead by the end of the first quarter. Michigan further extended its lead to 32–nine by halftime through defensive stops and efficient red-zone execution. Despite the deficit, the Lightning responded in the third quarter.
Cole completed nine of 31 passes for 99 yards and three passing touchdowns, adding 44 rushing yards and one rushing score on seven carries. His four total touchdowns marked one of his strongest statistical outings of the season. Oregon's receiving production was spread among multiple players, with Kris Lewis contributing 33 yards, Prince Shanola 30 yards and Maurice Ashley 26 yards. Offensive lineman Darius Tolbert also recorded a three-yard "Big Man" touchdown grab.
Defensively, Nick Brassell recorded an interception. Angelo Grose, Caden Campoileti and Keanu Mailoto each posted multiple tackles for the Lightning. Michigan quarterback Malik Henry finished the night with 268 yards and five touchdowns.
Despite the loss, the Oregon Lightning showed improved offensive resilience, red-zone efficiency and second-half scoring. The team posted its highest point total since Week three.
The Lightning will now turn its attention to the start of the second half of the Arena Football One season with the Cascade Clash VII. The team will host the Washington Wolfpack in the latest chapter of one of the league's most intense regional rivalries.
Kickoff for Cascade Clash VII is scheduled for Saturday at 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time. The game will be broadcast on KTVZ+, The Home Team Network, and the AF1 YouTube Channel. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. at the First Interstate Bank Center, where the Lightning will celebrate local veterans.
