Pet Pals: Diesel has been patiently waiting for his forever home

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- For this week's Pet Pals, Lynne Ouchida brought in Diesel, a sweet puppy looking for his forever home after being overlooked at the Humane Society of Central Oregon.

The playful puppy is one of five currently available for adoption at the shelter. HSCO says several of the puppies have previously appeared on Pet Pals but are still waiting for families to take them home.

Diesel and the other puppies are currently staying in puppy pens in a different area of the shelter, which may be one reason they haven't been getting as much attention.

The shelter is encouraging anyone looking for a new four-legged family member to stop by and meet Diesel.

HSCO is also currently offering 50% off adoption fees for all available dogs as part of its Barktober promotion. That brings the regular $250 adoption fee down to $125.

The fee includes spay or neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, deworming, a microchip and a free health exam.
