Dry pattern takes over, still cooler and breezy Tuesday

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Central Oregon is drying out after a few lingering mountain showers taper off early Tuesday. Skies will gradually turn sunnier today as breezy west to northwest winds develop behind the cold front. Temperatures will stay cool, only reaching the mid 60s.

High pressure building offshore will help temperatures climb through the rest of the week across Central Oregon.

Highs will reach the upper 60s Wednesday under mostly sunny skies. Much warmer weather arrives Thursday, with temperatures climbing into the low 80s.

Friday into the weekend will bring a mid-summer feel with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s. It’s possible a few locations could reach the low 90s by the weekend, especially across northern areas like Jefferson County.

Average highs for early June are in the low 70s, so temperatures this weekend will run well above normal.

The heat sticks around into Monday with temperatures climbing into the low 90s.

If you’re heading outdoors later this week, be prepared for the heat. Make sure to stay hydrated, limit time in direct sun during the hottest part of the day, and find ways to cool off.

Have a great Tuesday!
