Heating up for the holiday weekend

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Happy Friday! Summer weather is in full swing today with mostly sunny skies and afternoon highs in the low to mid 80s.

Skies will be mostly clear overnight as lows dip into the 40s and 50s.

Central Oregon will continue to warm through the weekend as our stretch of dry weather rolls on.

Highs will reach the upper 80s on the Fourth of July. If you're heading out for fireworks Saturday night, expect comfortable temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s.

Expect temperatures to climb into the upper 80s and low 90s by Sunday.

The warmer weather isn't going anywhere, either. We'll stay in the low 90s through Monday and Tuesday.

Upper 80s are in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday of next week under partly cloudy skies.

Please use extra caution this holiday weekend. Conditions are very dry and warm, so follow local fireworks restrictions. Even a small spark can quickly start a wildfire.
