There’s Good News: Bend-La Pine Schools receive 2 grants from ODOT for road safety

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) Bend–La Pine schools has been awarded two grants from the Oregon Department of Transportation.

The funding will create a Safe Routes to School Plan, identifying hazards and improving walking and biking routes.

It will also fund a new 'Traffic Garden' at La Pine Elementary, where students can learn bike and pedestrian safety.

The goal is to make getting to school safer and more enjoyable for students.
