Hot temperatures & more sunshine Monday

KTVZ

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - A ridge of high pressure will continue to build across the region today bringing more heat and sunshine.

High temperatures will rise into the upper 80s and 90s under mostly sunny skies. It could become a bit breezy later in the afternoon to evening with gusts around 20 to 25 mph.

Some moisture is expected to move into the region this week, fueling more unsettled weather.

Tuesday and Wednesday will still feel very warm, with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s. Expect increasing clouds, along with a slight chance of showers and a few isolated storms both days.

By Thursday and Friday, we’re back to sunny and dry conditions.

Temperatures will continue to warm into the weekend. We could potentially see temperatures climb into the mid to upper 90s by Saturday and Sunday.

Fire weather concerns will remain elevated this week. Gusty winds, low humidity and the potential for dry lightning could all increase the risk of new fire starts.
