This Just In: Multiple Lightning Strikes Reported by Mt. Bachelor, Firefighting Aircraft Dispatched

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- From Mt. Bachelor's "Cloud Chaser" camera, a plume of smoke can be seen in the distance.

According to the Department of Forestry, there were multiple lightning strikes in the area and crews are currently assessing how to respond to each incident.

A firefighting aircraft from Redmond's Roberts Field has been flying over the mountain and was spotted on the resort's camera.

KTVZ News has reached to Mt. Bachelor for comment concerning the operation and to see if any infrastructure is currently impacted, we are awaiting their response.
