Still very warm with a few more clouds, hotter on Friday

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Highs return to the upper 80s today under partly cloudy skies, with breezy winds at times. The Air Quality Alert is still in place for Crook and Jefferson Counties.

High pressure remains in control this week, keeping us warm and very dry. We may see a few more clouds today, but there isn’t enough moisture for rain.

Friday, the final day of July, will be the hottest day of the week, with highs in the low to mid 90s.

Cooler temperatures arrive this weekend, bringing some relief to firefighters. Highs fall into the mid-80s Saturday, then the upper 70s and low 80s Sunday.

There will be plenty of sunshine over the weekend. Winds could be breezy to windy on Saturday, especially in the Columbia River Basin. There is a Fire Weather Watch for areas further to the north and northeast of the Tri-Counties due to the increasing winds and low relative humidity levels.

A warming trend begins Monday, with highs in the mid 80s before climbing into the low 90s Tuesday and Wednesday.
