LOCAL ALERT WEATHER DAY THURSDAY: RECORD HEAT AND SMOKY SKIES

The Local Alert Weather Team has issued a Local Alert Weather Day for Thursday, August 6th due to the smoky skies and near triple digit heat.

There is an Air Quality Alert for Central Oregon until further notice due to all the smoke from the smoldering fires and active burning fires in the area. Combine the dangerously poor air quality with temperatures in the upper 90s Thursday and we have hazardous conditions.

Stay inside and turn on the air purifiers, and if you have to go outside, wear a mask.
