Pet Pals: Meet JoJo, a tortoiseshell kitten looking for her forever home

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Humane Society of Central Oregon is back for our weekly "Pet Pals" segment.

Lynne brought in a 2-month-old kitten, who she let KTVZ's Kelsey Merison name live on-air!

"She was being given away at a gas station up in Madras," Lynne said. Kelsey originally named her Hot Dog because of the gas station connection, but ended up naming her JoJo (like the potato wedges).

Lynne said JoJo will be available for adoption beginning Tuesday, August 25th.

Happening tomorrow, GoodLife Brewing in Bend is hosting the Paw Fest Brewery Bash, benefitting HSCO!

It's from 4 to 7 p.m. at GoodLife Brewing’s Backyard, located at 70 SW Century Drive in Bend.

The event is open to everyone, whether they bring a Humane Society of Central Oregon alumni dog, another canine companion or simply come with friends and family. Dogs are not required to attend.

Ten percent of all GoodLife Brewing sales during the event will be donated to the Humane Society of Central Oregon. Organizers are also selling limited-edition GoodLife Brewing and HSCO T-shirts, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the animal shelter. The shirts will be available while supplies last.

Paw Fest will also feature a pup cup station, a photo opportunity, local vendors and a gift basket giveaway filled with dog essentials. Live music is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m.

Organizers say the event is an opportunity for animal lovers to enjoy an evening together while celebrating the pets whose lives have been changed through adoption.
