GREENWOOD AVENUE UNDER CONTRUCTION

City of Bend Facebook

Bend, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The city of Bend has an update on Greenwood Avenue.

Starting this week, the city is removing a portion of the turn lane median curb on Greenwood Avenue between NE first and NE second streets.

Construction will take place overnight from 7 P.M. to 5 A.M. to remove the median and get the road ready for paving.

One lane will stay open in both directions, with minimal daytime impacts.

The goal is to create more space for eastbound vehicles to queue and to reduce peak-hour back-ups from left-turning vehicles. The city plans for construction to be completed before labor day.
