Hot Tuesday ahead, gradual cooling through the end of the week

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Good Tuesday morning!

We’re tracking above normal temperatures through Wednesday as a ridge of high pressure builds overhead. 

Today will be the hottest day of the week, with highs reaching the mid 90s in some areas. There will be some cloud cover accompanying the heat, so “filtered sunshine” will best define the sky conditions.

Lows will dip into the 40s and 50s under partly cloudy skies.

Wednesday will be slightly less hot. Highs will reach the upper 80s and low 90s under partly sunny skies.

Temperatures will continue to cool through the end of the week as a low off the coast breaks through.

Skies will stay sunny Thursday and Friday, with highs only reaching the low to mid 80s.

Skies will be partly cloudy to mostly sunny over the weekend. Expect highs in the upper 70s on Saturday and low 80s by Sunday.

Typical highs this time of year are in the low 80s, so temperatures will feel more seasonable for late August.
