Pleasant Friday, warm and sunny weekend ahead

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - The rain has moved out of Central Oregon, and high pressure is taking over. That will bring us a period of dry weather and warmer temperatures.

Today looks pleasant, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 70s.

Skies stay clear overnight as lows dip into the 30s and 40s.

Temperatures will continue to climb this weekend, reaching the low 80s Saturday and Sunday.

Expect plenty of sunshine for any outdoor plans over the next few days. You can put away the sweaters and bring the shorts back out!

Warm and sunny conditions will continue Monday, the final day of summer.

Fall begins Tuesday with the autumnal equinox. Expect partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid 70s. Not a bad way to welcome the new season!

The sun’s direct rays will cross the equator at 5:05pm PDT. Daylight and nighttime are nearly equal around the equinox, with longer nights and shorter days ahead.
