NeighborImpact one of ‘100 Best Nonprofits to Work For’
NeighborImpact attended a celebration held by Oregon Business in Portland last week in honor of being named one of the state’s best 100 nonprofits to work for.
The title of 100 Best Nonprofit is awarded annually to qualifying nonprofit organizations that are ranked based on employee satisfaction and importance of 31 workplace qualities in six categories including work environment; management and communications; mission and goals; career development and learning; benefits and compensation; and sustainable practices.
NeighborImpact, a 21 Cares for Kids partner, was the only large organization east of the Cascades to receive the award and was ranked 23rd in the large organizations category state-wide.
This is the sixth consecutive year that the organization has been awarded with a 100 Best Nonprofit to Work for title. NeighborImpact Board of Directors Vice President Laura Beebe attended the celebration and accepted the award on behalf of the organization.
Oregon Business found that “[NeighborImpact] workers enjoy a generous suite of benefits at this organization that helps low-income people in Central Oregon. Perks include pet insurance, gym discounts, free will preparation and free attorney referrals.” One employee appreciates that the nonprofit respects “our roles not just as employees but as people with our own families and responsibilities beyond work.”
NeighborImpact Executive Director Scott Cooper noted his appreciation of the employees: “It’s a privilege to work for an organization where employees love coming to work each day. Thanks for all you do.”
