Large rocks from a slide covered a stretch of SW Jordan Road at Cove Palisades State Park late Wednesday afternoon.

CULVER, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Cove Palisades State Park and Jefferson County Public Works crews quickly cleared a Thanksgiving eve rockslide that blocked Jordan Road with boulders, a deputy said.

A photo shared with NewsChannel 21 on Friday showed large rocks on the road just past the Crooked River Day Use Area.

Deputy Melody Zistel said they learned of the slide shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday, covering 30 to 40 feet of roadway.

There were no vehicles hit or injuries reported, she said, adding that the road was reopened before nightfall.
