Lane of Franklin Avenue to close for overpass repairs
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- In partnership with the Oregon Department of Transportation, the city of Bend will be closing one lane of travel on Franklin Avenue for a few hours, starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
One lane of traffic will remain open with flaggers, but delays and congestion are expected. Use alternate routes if possible, the city said.
The pedestrian paths on both sides of the road will remain open.
The closure is required to patch up damage resulting from an excavator hitting the Franklin underpass on Nov. 21. That incident created some holes that expose the structure to the elements.
ODOT will make temporary protections until the permanent repairs can be made in warmer weather.
