Clouds moving in

Happy Wednesday, Central Oregon!

On Wednesday night, areas of low clouds and fog will persist in parts of Central Oregon.

As the inversion gets stronger Wednesday night, we expect these areas will expand.

Otherwise, mid- and high level clouds will continue to move across the region.

Temperatures will fall into the 20s Wednesday night and freezing fog will increase.

Expect fairly widespread low clouds and some freezing fog through the day Thursday, with light winds out of the southeast.

Highs will be in the low 40s.

Little change is expected for Thursday night and Friday morning.

A low-pressure system will be closer to the Pacific Northwest on Friday and precipitation will spread in the afternoon and evening, with highs in the 40s.

This will continue into Friday night, with lows in the mid-30s.

Snow levels will be fairly high, so we're expecting mostly rain.

Saturday morning, we will start to see precipitation chances drop as a low pressure system moves over the area.

Saturday snow will mainly be confined to higher elevation areas, with snow levels between 4000-5000 feet, where lower-elevation areas will have slight chances of light rain through the day.

Sunday morning, precipitation will mainly be in the mountains in the form of snow, and will clear out by the early afternoon hours.
