Eagle Crest Hosts ‘Art on the River’ Show

KTVZ

The fourth annual Art on the River Show and Sale in the River Run Event Center at Eagle Crest Resort gives back to the community.

This year, proceeds go toward a grant for the Redmond School District’s art program.

A variety of local artists Saturday shared their work from pottery to painting, baskets to glass works.

The event has grown in the past four years, and every year there is new art to enjoy.

“All of the art is fresh every year,” said Joan Sheets, local artist and event organizer. “It’s not like we are dragging out our old paintings. It’s what we love to do. We are trying different things. It’s one of a kind.”

Last year’s art show and sale allowed the Redmond School District to bring two artists in residence to two schools. And before that, it helped Sage Elementary get an “art cart.”
