Joe Burns

Reporter, NewsChannel 21

Joe joined the NewsChannel 21 team in August 2010 as a Reporter, Anchor and Producer.

Joe grew up in Pendleton, Oregon before finishing high school in Keizer. It was in high school that Joseph anchored the student television news program, where his passion for journalism grew even stronger.

Joe took that passion to the University of Oregon, where he studied journalism. He graduated in June 2010 with a bachelor?s degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Communication Studies.

During college, Joseph interned at a local television station in Eugene, KVAL, where he followed reporters out in the field and assisted the reporters in writing and interviewing sources for their stories.

Joe enjoys being active, watching sports (especially Ducks football), reading, listening to music, meeting new people and spending time with family and friends.

Having grown up in Eastern Oregon and finished schooling west of the Cascades, Joe is happy to be in Central Oregon, as he says he will now be well-rounded in all parts of the state.
