Redmond raid turns up Prineville theft loot
A raid on a southwest Redmond home Tuesday turned up more stolen items and evidence in connection with a string of Prineville car break-ins and thefts last week. Three residents of that home now face charges and more arrests are expected, officers said.
Around 1 p.m. Tuesday, Prineville police detectives, assisted by Redmond officers, executed a search warrant at 1881 SW Timber Avenue in Redmond to find items stolen from cars and other related evidence, said Prineville police Capt. Michael Boyd.
At least 10 cars, mostly unlocked, were illegally entered and items taken, and at least one car was stolen in last week’s crime spree, police said.
Tuesday’s raid turned up more stolen property from one of the Prineville thefts, as well as other unrelated but stolen items and drug paraphernalia, Boyd said. The unrelated recovered and seized items will be turned over to Redmond police for resolution and potential prosecution, he added.
The two earlier announced arrested suspects face new charges. Cynthia Louise Gamber, 47, is charged with car theft (unauthorized use of a motor vehicle), as is Joel Jay McGuire, 23, who also faces a new second-degree theft charge, Boyd said.
A third resident of the Redmond home, Misty Dawn Cade, 23, is now charged with possession of stolen property, Boyd said, adding that all three were cited on the new charges in lieu of custody.
More suspects are being sought and more arrests are expected as the investigation continues, Boyd said. He asked that anyone who was a victim of unreported recent thefts from cars around Prineville contact police at (541) 447-6398
