Ochoco National Forest HQ to reopen

KTVZ

The Ochoco National Forest building and parking lot will be reopened to the public on Monday, after being closed during renovations.

All public services will be available at the Ochoco National Forest Service office during normal business hours of 7:30 to 4:30, Monday through Friday.

The renovation, being completed in four stages throughout the building, required the office to be closed to the public for work in the visitor area. During the renovation stages, employees are temporarily being relocated to other areas, including the Prineville District BLM.

“We would like to recognize and thank our partners at the Prineville District BLM office for allowing us to share their reception area so that we could continue serving the public during our office renovation,” said Kate Klein, Forest Supervisor for the Ochoco National Forest. “The public liked the fact that they could get information and service from both agencies in the same location. As we move back into our renovated office we will look for new ways to work together with BLM to provide great public service,” added Klein.

At this time the renovation is halfway completed and is scheduled to be done by the end of October.

The staff of the Ochoco National Forest thanks you for your patience during the renovation. For more information, contact the Ochoco National Forest Service Office at 541-416-6500.
