BMC marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Bend Memorial Clinic has partnered with local florists to reinforce the importance of regular mammograms.

During the month of October, every woman scheduled for a digital mammogram will receive flowers donated by All Occasion Flowers, Autry’s, Donner Flower Shop, Fred Meyer and Wild Flowers.

Every three minutes, a woman in the United States is diagnosed with breast cancer.Although breast cancer is a real threat, there are many ways to prevent and treat this disease.

In fact, 96 percent of women who find and treat breast cancer early will be cancer-free after five years.

Bend Memorial Clinic offers a TotalCare TM approach to preventing and treating breast cancer through a collaboration of Providers representing Family Medicine, Imaging, Surgery, and Oncology.
