Shepherd’s House seeks sleeping bags, coats, socks

KTVZ

The Shepherd’s House, an organization that serves Bend’s homeless, urgently needs sleeping bags, coats and socks. As the cold weather approaches, The Shepherd’s House will see an increase in the demand for these essential items.

The Shepherd’s House reaches out to assist the homeless in Bend every day by providing clothing, meals and outreach to help the homeless restore their lives. The Shepherd’s House provides over 47,000 meals and over 10,000 nights of shelter annually.

“We have very few items to give to anyone who needs something. We only have four sleeping bags, and very few warm coats, and we are low on everything,” said Wayne Billings, House Manager at The Shepherd’s House.

New and gently used sleeping bags, coats and socks can be dropped off at Shepherd’s House location on Division and Revere streets in Bend. Financial donations can be made online at www.myshepherdshouse.org/donate or mail your donation to P.O. Box 5484, Bend, Oregon 97701, or call 541-388-2096.
