Redmond Parks Activity Center moving

KTVZ

Redmond Area Park and Recreation District’s Activity Center is moving to SW Canal in Redmond. The Activity Center is scheduled to open in the new location on December 3.

We will offer a variety of activities for all ages including toddler activities, sports camps, art classes, fitness classes, and programs for people with disabilities. In addition to the structured activities there will be drop in use of the fitness equipment and racquetball court, which will include racquetball and walleyball drop-in times.

The new Activity Center consists of two buildings that will provide 8,000 square feet of programming and locker room space.

The district is excited about moving to our new location, 2433 SW Canal Blvd, Redmond, where we have the opportunity to expand our recreation programs.

Our new location offer the community another place to participate in dry land activities as well as register for any activities offered in our recreation guide.

The move is possible because of a partnership with the City of Redmond and operating out of this new location is anticipated to save the district $30,000 annually.

The current Activity Center, located on SE Jackson Street, will be operating on a reduced schedule from November 26-30. Please look on our website www.raprd.org or call us 541-526-1847 for the most current schedule for this week.

Stop by and see us the beginning of December at the new center and join us for a grand opening celebration on December 8 from 10:00am – 1:00pm.
