Central Oregon soldiers and their families were treated on Saturday to a festive Christmas celebration.
The party was hosted by Tumalo’s Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch for the Delta 141st Forward Support Company of the Central Oregon National Guard.
More than 100 soldiers and their families came out for a meal, bonfires, cookie-decorating and more. And of course, Santa paid a visit to the children.
Dozens of volunteers also came together to provide gifts for the kids.
Crystal Peaks spokesman Jeff Gorham said the celebration was about paying tribute to those who serve our country.
“Crystal Peaks just wants to honor all the men and women who serve this country selflessly,” Gorham said. “And that’s what we’re doing here today, just support them and honor these guys. They’ve put in so many long hours and do a lot of difficult things.”
