Monday’s storm prompted Bend-La Pine Schools to decide on a two-hour delay of classes.

The delay also includes includes St. Francis of Assisi, Cascades Academy, Eastmont, Three Sisters Adventist and Trinity Lutheran School.

There is also no a.m. kindergarten. Bend-La Pine NeighborImpact Headstart has no a.m. classes, and Bend Parks and Rec has no a.m. “Kids Inc.”

The winds overnight also blew a juniper tree into a main Central Electric Cooperative feeder line around 2 a.m., knocking out power to 92 CEC members, said Jeff Beaman, CEC’s member services director.

By 6:30 a.m., most people had power back, but two hours later, four homes still had no power, while the crew worked on a “tap line,” Beaman said.
