Redmond’s Jericho Road gets grant

Redmond’s Jericho Road organization has received a grant in the amount of $5,000 from the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Reservation Foundation of Canyonville.

The funds will be used to assist homeless and hungry individuals, families and children to obtain hot meals, as well as weekend food bags distributed through the Redmond School District.

The Cow Creek Umpqua Foundation is dedicated to supporting child-oriented programs throughout the state of Oregon.

Jericho Road maintains a four day a week plus one Friday and one Saturday per month free hot meal program at the Redmond Senior Center.

The Weekend Food Program also provides free bags of food to hungry and homeless students of the Redmond School District.

Jericho Road partners with the school district as well as Family Access Network, NeighborImpact and many Central Oregon agencies, organizations and churches. More information can be obtained by calling 541-633-0854.
