Big Eddy raft trip raises funds for MBSEF

Sun Country Tours is hosting a special Big Eddy Thriller whitewater rafting trip on Sunday, August 25, at 3 p.m. to benefit the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education
Foundation.

Guests on this trip will benefit too, as the cost has been discounted to $25 per person, with all proceeds going to MBSEF.

Sun Country Tours President Dennis Oliphant, who also serves as the board chairman for MBSEF, says the fundraiser is a natural fit.

“I’ve been a longtime advocate of educational and athletic programs for young people,” explains Oliphant. “This special Big Eddy Thriller is an easy way to help out MBSEF, which not only helps our youth, but our community at large.”

In addition to volunteering his time to various organizations including MBSEF, Oliphant established the Sun Country Tours Foundation more than 20 years ago. The non-profit foundation donates more than $20,000 annually to regional organizations that specifically focus on youth, education and environmental causes.

“We are thrilled to have Sun Country Tours offer this to the community on behalf of
MBSEF,” says MBSEF Executive Director John Schiemer. “Additionally, they continue to donate back to the community in many other ways year after year.”

The Big Eddy Thriller is Sun Country Tours’ most popular, and convenient, whitewater rafting adventure. This family-friendly trip is appropriate for kids ages 6 and older.

Limited space is available for this trip, and reservations must be made in advance by
calling Sun Country Tours at 541.382.6277.
