First phase of Reed Market Road nearly done

The first stage of the Reed Market project will be complete and open to traffic Friday, Sept. 6, city official said. Reed Market will be open from Newberry Drive (the Senior Center) to Teakwood Drive. Admiral Way and Teakwood Drive will be open to local traffic.

The second stage of the Reed Market project will begin Friday, September 6. Reed Market will be closed from Shadowood Drive to west of Orion Drive, Orion Drive will remain open. The closure is required to continue the re-construction of Reed Market Road. The work is being be performed by local contractor Jack Robinson & Sons.

A temporary, signed detour route for Reed Market through traffic will be in effect for the duration of construction. Traffic will continue to utilize SE15th Street, NE Bear Creek Road, SE 27 th Street and SE Ferguson Road.
