Crime Stoppers: Bend RV theft caught on camera
Bend police are seeking the public’s help in finding a thief who forced his way through the gate of an RV storage facility and drove away with a 23-foot trailer Friday morning.
Officer Don Jordan said a while male adult, 30 to 50 years old, broke into the storage facility on S. Highway 97 around 8 a.m. Friday and stole a 23-foot Komfort Trail Blazer travel trailer, white with teal green graphics on the sides.
There is damage to the sides of the vehicle, where it was damaged when pulled through the gate, the officer added.
The suspect vehicle was described as an older white Jeep Cherokee with dark accent trim around the bottom and wheel wells, a dark roof rack, black grill and black front bumper, chrome or aluminum-colored wheels – and, of course, a trailer hitch that was employed in the theft.
Anyone with information that could help identify the suspect is asked to contact Bend police at (541) 693-6911.
