Bend man arrested in mushroom raid on home

KTVZ

A 29-year-old Bend man was arrested Saturday night during a raid on a northeast Bend home that turned up a psilocybin mushroom growing operation, police said Monday.

Bend police served a search warrant around 7:20 p.m. Saturday at the home of Matthew Scott Pride at 21364 NE Kristin Court, off Eagle and Wells Acres roads, said Sgt. Tom Pine.

Pine said an officer earlier had received information about the alleged growing operation, prompting the request for a search warrant.

Pride was taken into custody without incident, he said, and a search of the home turned up evidence of possession, delivery and manufacturing of the psychedelic mushrooms, the sergeant said.

Pride was booked into the Deschutes County Jail on those charges, with initial bail set at $65,000.
