Six arrested in NE Prineville drug raid

Six people were arrested and drugs, guns and money seized in a raid Sunday evening on a northeast Prineville home after a months-long investigation of methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine distribution around Crook County, the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team announced Tuesday.

CODE Team detectives executed a search warrant in a long-term drug investigation around 7:15 p.m. Sunday at 375 NE Loper Avenue, assisted by Prineville police, Crook County sheriff’s deputies and the Central Oregon Emergency Response Team, said Lt. Paul Kansky.

The investigation of the residence spanned several months and found they were involved in trafficking street-level quantities of the drugs, Kansky said.

During their search of the home, CODE Team detectives found “a commercial amount” of meth, cocaine and heroin, Kansky said, as well as scales, packaging material, drug paraphernalia and other evidence. Seven guns also were seized, along with a large amount of cash.

A 4-year-old child was at the home when the raid occurred. Koester said detectives found probable cause for charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and child neglect, Koester said. The child was removed from the parents’ custody by the state Department of Human Services.

Arrested on drug possession, delivery and manufacture charges were Andrew Fulton, 27; Robert Lester, 26; Sarah Nelson, 28; Christopher Pipkey, 30; Megan Meadows, 27, and Chance Johnson, 26.

All but Fulton remained held Tuesday at the Crook County Jail; he was released under a matrix system due to jail crowding, an officer said. All six also were charged with frequenting a place where drugs are used, kept and sold.

Lester and Nelson also were charged as felons in possession of a firearm. Pipkey and Meadows also were charged with first-degree child neglect and endangering the welfare of a minor.
