KTVZ

On Valentine’s Day, the Bend, Redmond and Sisters communities banded together to raise 2,220 pounds of non-perishable food for NeighborImpact .

Dutch Bros. Coffee and caring community members drew together in a common effort.

“It’s amazing when people get together in a concentrated effort,”said Dutch Bros. Coffee co-founder Travis Boersma.”The impact that we can have in raising over 233,000 pounds of food is extraordinary.”

To raise food, Dutch Bros. offered customers a 16 oz. drink for $1 in exchange for a contribution of three non-perishable food items.

Dutch Bros. would like to thank all of the generous people who came out to feed hungry friends and neighbors in their community. Customers are an integral part of achieving Dutch Bros.’ mission of “making a difference, one cup at a time.”

Company wide, caring customers helped gather 233,401 pounds of food for local food banks.

On May 2 , Dutch Bros. Coffee will hold its annual Drink One For Dane Day, when all proceeds from all drinks will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in memory of company co-founder Dane Boersma, who died of the disease in 2009.
