Project to affect NE Bend intersection

KTVZ

Travelers in Bend are urged to use caution near the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Third Street for the next several weeks.

Motorists should expect delays and watch for pedestrians and bicyclists. Bicyclists may be walking bikes through the pathways or riding in automobile travel lanes.

Starting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, for an expected eight weeks, right lanes will be closed to vehicle traffic during road improvement work by Walgreens’ contractor.

Right lanes will be closed to vehicle traffic on eastbound Franklin Avenue from NE Second Street to NE Third Street, and on southbound NE Third Street from Greeley Avenue to Emerson Avenue, so that pedestrian access to crosswalks and signal activators can be maintained while Walgreens’ contractor, Kirby Nagelhout, makes improvements to the sidewalk and landscape areas adjacent to the road.
