Two people were injured in an SUV rollover crash on the Old Bend-Redmond Highway north of Bend early Saturday, including the driver, who was cited for DUII, Oregon State Police said.

The crash occurred around 1:17 a.m., when a 2000 LandRover driven by Kaylyn Frizzell, 23, of Redmond, was heading north on the Old Bend-Redmond Highway just north of Tumalo Road, troopers said.

The SUV traveled off the road and overturned in a field. Frizzell and passenger Jacob Schotthefer, 30, of Powell Butte, were taken by ambulance to St. Charles Bend, where both were in fair condition Saturday afternoon, according to a nursing supervisor.

The initial investigation by OSP troopers led to Frizzell being cited for DUII, troopers said.

OSP was assisted at the scene by Deschutes County sheriff’s deputies and Bend Fire medics.
