Redmond PD reports results of DUII crackdown

The Redmond Police Department conducted a High Visibility Enforcement campaign targeting DUII drivers on Friday and released the results early Wednesday.

Three Redmond officers conducted 30 traffic stops between 9 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday and responded to calls received of possible DUII drivers, said Sgt. Curtis Chambers.

During the HVE event, one DUII arrest was made. Officers also identified two uninsured drivers and issued citations for such.

Two of the three officers working also ended up assisting patrol officers execute a drug related search warrant early Saturday morning.

Officers working the HVE event reported contacting several sober drivers with intoxicated passengers.

Funding for this HVE event comes via an ODOT traffic safety grant.
