S. Deschutes County road projects due

On Wednesday, construction crews will begin work on the asphalt overlay for Bridge Drive and Otter Drive in southern Deschutes County.

Road work includes:

1. Installation of a waterproof membrane on the bridge over the Little Deschutes River on Bridge Drive. Initial grinding will take place on Wednesday, August 20 with the membrane application occurring Tuesday, September 2.

2. Three-inch asphalt overlay on Otter Drive from Riverview Ave. to Bridge Drive and a three-inch overlay on Bridge Drive from the intersection with Otter Drive to the end of Bridge Drive. This work will begin on Thursday, September 4.

The contract completion date is September 12.

Traffic will be limited to one lane and drivers can expect delays of up to 20 minutes during construction. Hours of operation will be from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Drivers should use alternate routes where possible.
