KTVZ

Come fill your water bottles with Bend’s award-winning drinking water at the City of Bend’s water tap booth at Oktoberfest this weekend, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 and noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20.

Oktoberfest is an event organized by the Downtown Bend Business Association, a nonprofit that works to keep downtown thriving. The DBBA is responsible for flowers, Christmas decorations, sidewalk cleaning and much more. The event is a fundraiser for beautification projects. Oktoberfest features traditional Bavarian foods and 16 taps of locally-brewed beers. (See: bendoktoberfest.com).

At the booth you can visit with city staff, learn more about where Bend’s drinking water comes from, discover how great water helps make great beer, pick up water conservation tips and tools and win prizes.

The city’s interactive water tap booth will be located at NW Oregon Avenue and NW Irving Avenue. The colorful water tap display illustrates Bend’s drinking water system and dispenses drinking water for thirsty fair goers.
