Update: Missing Ga. woman found near Crater Lake

Oregon State Police said Monday they had made contact with a Georgia woman reported missing by family members en route to the Crater Lake area and confirmed she was safe and in no need of assistance.

Earlier Monday, troopers had asked for the public’s help after being contacted by the husband of Andria C. Terrell, 51, a traveling nurse currently working in Eugene. According to her husband in Georgia, she was en route Sunday to Crater Lake in a rented blue 2014 Kia Forte displaying California license 7AXZ944.

OSP said they made contact with the woman around 10 a.m. Monday by her cellphone and she was safe in the Crater Lake area.

“OSP thanks the media and those on social media who helped get the word out,” troopers said.

Terrell’s cellphone activity showed the last known location was Sunday about 1 p.m. in Douglas County near Canyonville. Her family and friends said they had not heard from her, which is very unusual, and they had not been able to contact her cellphone.

OSP troopers and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office checked area roads and an “attempt to locate” bulletin was sent to other Oregon law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for her and the vehicle.
