Golden leaving Sisters schools for Albany post
The Sisters School Board meets at 2 p.m. Friday to discuss the search for a new superintendent, now that Jim Golden has taken a new post leading the Greater Albany Public Schools.
The Albany School Board voted unanimously Monday to offer a three-year contract to Golden, 54, who will start his new position July 1. The base salary is $145,000 a year.
Golden ahs been superintendent of the 1,200-student Sisters district for five years, the Albany Democrat-Herald reported. Before that, he served asdirector of special programs for the High Desert Education Service District, and previously was Crook County High School principal.
