Redmond police release sketch of Subway repeat robber
A witness has helped Redmond police develop a composite drawing of a suspect who held up the same northwest Redmond Subway at knifepoint twice in less than three weeks, officers said Thursday as they again turned to the public for leads.
The robber escaped despite extensive police searches of the area after the robberies of the sandwich shop at 520 NW Fir Avenue, on Dec. 23 and Jan. 12.
Since then, police detectives have been working with a witness who saw the suspect to develop a drawing, with the help of a forensic artist from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult in his late teens to early 20s, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 in height, with short black hair, dark eyes and a medium build.
Also on Thursday, police announced the arrest of two people, including Kenyon Odoms, in the late Tuesday robbery at knifepoint of a man staying at the Village Squire Motel on Southwest Fifth Street in Redmond.
Many people viewing the sketch and photo online said the two looked very similar. Kidwell said, “We’re aware of the similarities and we’re looking into that aspect.”
