Auto group giving scholarships, new car

Kendall Auto Group announced Tuesday that its scholarship contest, Drive For Education, has received over 100 applications from Central Oregon students. Kendall Auto Group will be giving away 10 $1,000 scholarships to qualified high school seniors, with one student winning the Grand Prize of a scholarship and a brand new Toyota Corolla.

Eligible students must be local high school seniors graduating in 2015, have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, have met district attendance policy, and completed a minimum of 15 service hours during their senior year in the local community before May 1, 2015.

“Supporting education in our communities is one of the most important things we do,” said Robert Durfee, General Manager of Kendall Toyota of Bend. “We are thrilled that so many students have applied for Drive for Education in its first year.”

Eligible students may enter the Drive For Education by completing an application found online at http://www.kendallgivesback.com/ by May 1, 2015, and mailing or delivering to Kendall Toyota of Bend, ATTN: Tressa Shuttleworth, 61430 S. Hwy 97, Bend, OR 97702.

Applicant finalists will be posted on www.kendallgivesback.com after May 1, 2015. Contest finalists must be present at the Drive For Education Drawing Ceremony on May 15 th at 7PM. At this event, the combined names of all finalists will be presented and 10 final names will be drawn for the scholarships, with one Grand Prize winner winning the new Toyota Corolla.
