Breast cancer awareness presentation Oct. 22

October is Cancer Awareness Month, the annual awareness campaign to increase screenings and learn the steps of early detection.

The community is invited to attend a free presentation, offered by Soroptimist International of Bend (SI Bend), at a program meeting on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at the Deschutes Historical Museum, at noon.

The public will hear more from Lizzi Katz, the survivorship coordinator and community health educator for St Charles Cancer Center.

Ms. Katz, an 11-year cancer survivor, will speak about programs to increase cancer awareness, screening including 3D mammography, and cancer survivorship plans for quality of life improvements.

All are welcome to attend the free presentation, October 22, 2015, from Noon – 1 pm, Deschutes Historical Museum in downtown Bend.
