CRR Fire holds annual ‘Shop with a Firefighter’ underway

KTVZ

This year marks Crooked River Ranch Fire & Rescue’s 6 th annual Shop with a Firefighter program.

Every year, many children living on Crooked River Ranch find themselves in less than fortunate circumstances during the holiday season. This year, 39 children will enjoy an evening of shopping and a pizza party.

The children will ride in a fire engine to go shopping. The shopping began Monday evening and continues through Thursday evening at Fred Meyer in Redmond. Then on Saturday, December 12 th Santa will give them their presents at a pizza party at the Crooked River Ranch Fire Station.

“This event would not be possible without the generous support received from the community, its organizations, and local businesses,” explains Captain Sean Hartley, “It brightens our day to be able to help the children in our community this holiday season.”

This year, Redmond Fire & Rescue and Cloverdale Fire District assisted by providing firefighters and apparatus for the shopping nights. The Redmond Fred Meyer provides food and drinks to the children shopping and their firefighters. The pizzas for the party are donated by Papa Murphy’s Pizza.
