Police, partners support La Pine Christmas Basket Assn.

On Friday, December 18 , the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, Bend Police Department and Sunriver Police Department assisted The Riverhouse, SYSCO Foods and the La Pine Food Basket in delivering more than 525 meals to needy families in the La Pine area.

This is the 13th year the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, the Riverhouse, SYSCO and the La Pine Food Basket program provide needy families with a holiday meal to be delivered on or about Christmas Day.

“The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is proud to be a part of this important event. Our community is fortunate to have partners such as the Riverhouse and SYSCO to assist families in need this time of year”, stated Sheriff L. Shane Nelson.
