Jefferson County sheriff’s deputy earns state honor

On Dec. 9, the Oregon State Sheriff’s Association met for their annual conference and awards banquet in Bend. During the awards banquet, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Ron Larson was selected as the Enforcement Deputy Sheriff of the Year for the state of Oregon.

Larson was nominated by Sheriff Jim Adkins of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Adkins said Ron has been a deputy for him since 2012 and is proud to have Ron representing him and protecting the citizens of Jefferson County.
