Bend’s Bethlehem Inn sets new donation hours
The Bethlehem Inn announces new donation hours. Effective Jan. 15, donations will be accepted every day between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm. The Inn is located at 3705 N. Hwy 97 in Bend.
“Every day, we are grateful for donations of food, clothing and personal care products that give Inn residents the opportunity to regain their dignity. However, our staffing is limited. Our goal is to provide each resident with the necessary case management services that will help them move forward with their life. By slightly reducing the number of hours that donations are accepted, our small Case Management staff can focus on addressing the needs of the people that come to us in search of help,” stated Gwenn Wysling, Executive Director.
The Bethlehem Inn provides the life-saving services of housing, meals and clothing for an average of 90 people per night including up to 5 families. As the largest emergency shelter in Central Oregon, it provides the services necessary for people experiencing homelessness to move toward self-sufficiency.
The Bethlehem Inn provided shelter, food and support to over 1,100 individuals and children last year; 74,000 meals were served to those in crisis. Another 341 non-residents received food and support services.
